This early advertising postcard from the Tudhope Carriage Co. is an artist’s rendition of the Tudhope plant after it was rebuilt in late 1909.

The first building was destroyed by fire on August 22 of the same year but was rebuilt in a record 79 days by E. Webb, an Orillia contractor. Shortly after, the Tudhope Motor Company was formed and the Everitt and Tudhope cars were built here.

In 1913, the Tudhope Motor Company became the Fisher Motor Company. The Fisher car was made for approximately two years until both the carriage and automobile plants were converted to the production of war materials
